Microsoft is taking another stab at making Windows 8 popular with this new ad making fun of how useless the iPad is at doing stuff.

The ad features Siri saying stuff like “Sorry, I can only do one thing at a time,” and “Sorry, I don’t update like that,” (a reference to Live Tiles on Windows 8).

People really should start thinking about how amazing Windows 8 is, because it is.

Google’s new chat app and Microsoft smartwatches?

Rumours have been flying around (in fact, it’s almost confirmed) that Google is developing a chat service that will merge all of Google’s existing chat services (Talk, Google+ Messenger and countless others…) into one single app, which is currently codenamed “Babel”. This is awesome. Instead of having a few hundred apps for the same thing, users will soon be able to message their heads off without jumping from app to app. Awesomesauce.

In other news: Microsoft jumping on the smartwatch bandwagon? Yes, it seems so. Microsoft’s Xbox and Kinect teams are allegedly working on a smartwatch to compete with, well, nothing yet, but since Apple is apparently working a smartwatch too it’s better to be prepared. According to rumours, the MS smartwatch will be powered by a modified version of Windows and will be uber-awesome.

Chrome for Android Review

image

Google Chrome is a reasonably fast browser for Android. It features tabbed browsing with tabs shown as “cards” in a stack and a sync service for synchronising all your bookmarks, open tabs, passwords and other information between all your devices. Its only disadvantage is its speed. It is relatively slow compared to other browsers such as Dolphin or even the stock Android browser, but it makes up for this in its awesome features and user-friendly interface.

Score: 4.5/5

Verdict: Download Chrome now!
